Our Focus

In order to become laser focused in our missional impact, God has called DFUMC to raise up Christian leaders in Nicaragua and to help with racial reconciliation with Arab and Israeli Christians in Israel. God has also called us to minister to prisoners and their families, while locally calling us to help families in crisis, and love on our local schools.

Local Partners

City Park Elementary School: We provide aid to students & teachers with an 89% economically disadvantaged student population.
City of Refuge Dalton: We aid with food drives, programming, & building repairs at this local organization that helps families in need.
DOCUP: We provide financial support & host fundraising events for this organization which provides short-team financial support & education for local families.
Friendship House: We provide financial support & prayer for this child care center started by DFUMC members. Friendship House offers preschool education and child care.
Providence Ministries: We supply clothing drives, donations, and financial support to this Christian-based local mission serving those in need of food, guidance, counseling, & shelter.
Saturday Sacks: This ministry meets every other Tuesday at 10:30am at the Church to pack sacks of snack foods for local elementary school kids in need. There is no commitment required, you just come when you are available! Please contact Carey Ashcraft for more information at [email protected].
