A daycare that makes a difference
The DFUMC Christian Learning Center offers a Full-Day and Half-Day program for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years which operates year round. This program was established by DFUMC to serve its members and the community. The Full Day Program is licensed by the State of Georgia through Bright From The Start. Our trained and experienced staff provide a safe and loving learning environment where children can grow in body, mind, and faith. All age level classrooms meet or exceed the adult to child ratio required by Bright From The Start.
Full Day Program
Our goal is to provide full time, quality child care for children 6 weeks through 5 years old in an educational, loving, caring and Christian environment. We value the trust you place in our staff and our program as we strive to serve your child’s needs. Each staff person is dedicated to promoting healthy growth and development of your child. We are proud to be certified by the Health Department, Fire Department and Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. We receive regular inspections from all three of these departments. We are licensed by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, Bright From The Start, to operate a learning, child care center.
Half Day Program
For more than 60 years this program has provided a loving and nurturing environment preparing children for Kindergarten. By the time children leave our program they have grown in knowledge and confidence, ready for public or private school. The children will participate in more than arts, crafts, and story time. They will be introduced to Kindergarten Readiness concepts including letters, numbers, writing their name, and even sight words if the child is developmentally ready. The children will have daily outdoor playtime, weekly gym time, and music class. As an added benefit of this faith-based program children will also participate in Chapel Time to learn stories of Jesus.
Mother's Morning Out Program
Children ages one and two by September 1st will begin to develop social interaction and readiness for learning in a loving, nurturing, Christian atmosphere with our MMO Program. The children will learn by socializing with their peers and participating in creative play centers, art, story time, music, and outside play while mom’s and other caregivers get a little break to take care of themselves or complete a few errands. What could be better than that!
