What are Wonderful Wednesdays?
Three words: faith, fellowship and fun! Wonderful Wednesdays are a weekly celebration held on Wednesday evenings at Dalton First United Methodist Church that allow members of our congregation and our community to gather together for dinner, and engaging classes such as: recreation, choir, and Bible studies. All are invited to join! Free dinner is served from 5:00 - 5:45 p.m., followed by the below classes. Adult Chapel Bible Study: "FRIEND or FRENEMY?"
Join the Rev. Mark Miller on a six-week journey through Galatians. Learn the backstory of Paul's relationship with Peter and dive deep on what was happening to the church in Galatia. Open to all registrants.
Holy Yoga
The class is open to all adults and is focused on deep stretching - yin yoga, Biblical meditation, and peace. The class is restorative in nature with mostly sitting or laying poses. Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, but we will have few extras.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir leads hymns and anthems in the sanctuary at our 11:00 am service. The choir presents Lessons and Carols during advent and other special music during the lenten season. Also, each fall, the chancel choir presents the Smiley Gregg Memorial concert to benefit Habitat for Humanity and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northwest Georgia.
